years ago i used to frequent a wendy's on 3rd ave near 57th st. there was a very exotic cahsier my friend and i used to always chat with, and then say to ourselves how gorgeous she was and how we should pluck her out of there and send her to a modeling agency...weell..flash forward 9 years...and while little old me was in between luxury hopping on my b day... i popped into the hermes shop on madison ave where i was long overdue to visit a friend of mine, so he was there and he gave me the grand tour...and low and behold, ladyfriend from wendys was up in there workin it! i knew who she was immediately and it took everything i had not to howl...i said to her how familiar she looked ( and she rememeberedme too) and gave her a knowing smile. it felt great to see her looking so fierce, and apparantly doing quite well. hermes is no joke, and would be a fine ass gig in my opinion!

day off today. yay. its going to ba a loooong day. but ia am happy beause i scored tix to the RSSN show tonight with my fave band of the moment TPC. its too dang cold, and i have a lot of outside/commuting/bus time ahead of me. first its all the way uptown for a dr appt. squeezing those in before i'm hanging a few months without insurance, or maybe i have cobra... whatever. then i have to haul to the PA. (yeeeesh) and catch a bus headed south. my ride in toms river leaves PROMPTLY at 4 to get into AC for an early dinner/drinks and then the show at 8 ish. i'll be catching naps at ny given moment. its all good. all in the name of rock and roll.

my delicious neighbor has been mIA. until two nights ago.

it was about 11 45pm and my door was open while mica had her evening roam around the hall of the bldg.
all of a sudden a very cute young man appeared at my door, in a suit. i was like um, hi! he was like, hey how are you? he advised he has been working the 12 to 8am shift (foreign banking) i said oh . he asked me to have lunch monday, my day off. thats all.

i dont want to have lunch with him.

i'm over it.

i've spent the better part of today doing laundry and stuff around the apt trying hard to put the flashbacks of a dream together and of course, preening for edge's arrival. it feels so female. i think of those national geographic shows when most all female mammals preen for their mates. preening for a male feels completely different than for say, a night out with the girls, although that is usually done for men too but its different. when its a given she'll be taking a lover in say, 2 more hours, the female wants to be ready. i'll save the part when the male leaves after the act and the female goes psycho. just kidding- edge is planning on staying over with me tonight and i'm already basking in the deliciousness of it all. i have pre neutron(insert link here if you can because i can not) hallucinatory endorphins kicking in and all of my reasoning goes out the window somewhere near cadman plaza west.

i've been up since 6am. laundry 2/3 done. mica fed, watered, and exhausted from play, bills sorted thru and laughed at, catalogs read and tossed, internet shopping bookmarked. calendar whipped out and obsessive behaviour excecuted. i looked back to the day i met edge and counted up the dates and time spent together. well, i really just counted the dates the time i will estimate. its too too weird to do that. what seems like eons to me, has only been 8 dates. mixed in with a few sleepovers (add 24-36 hours). approx time spent together: 45-50 hours. people work more hours in a one week period.
who on earth do i think i am wondering "where things are going" its way too soon. i barely know the guy. i'm sure i'm not totally alone here, but i must admit my attitude has been ridiculious and i can truly understand why anyone, man or woman would be freaked out by "the talk" so early on. what a waste of energy to worry so much. i'm so not going there. i have more important things to worry about. as with everything else going on in my life- i'm just going to see how the next few weeks go and finish out this year already. i've never looked forward to a new year like this, and have been so glad to see one end already. by jan 1 i'll have some decisions sorted out and by then the holidays will be over, and its actually a good time now to see how things go because i can see what happens with edge or whoever else i meet during this time. dude's behaviour during the holidays is a genius way to feel them out without saying a word. ie: being invited to work/friends/family parties...gifts :)....and the ever dreaded...nyr's eve.

i'm looking forward to seeing everyone for blogcon. do we have a venue yet? headcount? who's bringing the cheese? will bart & rome girl turn up? and to the chick who is coming from out of town: please don't beat me up.

i know i said i wasn't going to blog about edge anymore but i cant help myself.
i realized i was being a little too coy by telling him i had plans yesterday and today when we made the date for fri, so i called him today to say my night freed up( my night of hiding from the attack kitten and throwing mushy balls around my apartment) and if he wanted to come over we could walk around and enjoy the night. i actually had to call him again (ouch) cause i am about to leave work and didnt hear back from him. which sends me into a retarded "hes not going to call me back" frenzy. he said he had to see about band practice but he was pretty sure he'd be able to come over and he's love to hang out blah blah. i really want to have a little chat with him- but really casually. its driving me crazy and i think after 2 months i can ask a few non chalant questions. its time. i'm leaving work a bit early a cause i'm worried about mica and b cause i want to pick up some peronis to offer him in the hopes it will make him open up more. also want to make my apartment look a little less catwoman. i hope mica doesn't chew his balls off.

i cant sleep. i took a little walk to get some tea and bum a smoke from my yemeni deli man. its so warm out. its too weird for this time of year. i hate not being able to sleep. and i wish i had something interesting to say.
